We provided qualified labour, plant and materials to re-instate the car parking area outside of a new build Marks and Spencer.
To enable safe and simultaneous work with other on-site contractors the works were split over a duration of 3 months – all works completed to deadline. Overall, 5200m2 of base and topping was laid with all parking bays painted to the finished surface to complete the works.
We created a car parking area within a railway work area whilst providing safe working areas and pedestrian management to maintain access to offices on site during restricted working hours.

The works were carried out over 2 weeks to coordinate with other on-site contractors and all works were completed on time due to thorough mobilisation planning and communication with the principal contractor and collaborative working.
We reformed a sub-standard access road into the Toddbrook Reservoir site to enable heavy plant and machinery (to withstand weights of up to 200 tonne) to attend and repair the damaged dam which saw the evacuation of the Village.
Great care had to be taken to ensure the minimum of disruption was caused to the local residents and community. We worked with our client to fully understand and comply with the requirements set as part of their resident consultations – affording support rather than resistance from the local community.
Towpath reinstatement across the county to ground that had already been regulated. Plant is carefully selected to enable access to areas of restricted weight, width and height. Each location is different and assessment of access is crucial to the efficiency of the works. Material drop off areas are identified and selected for tarmac to be tipped, transferred to barges and sailed to the location of work for off loading and use, all whilst ensuring the stability of materials. Or preferably loaded to mini dumpers where access allows.
Our investment in the right equipment has enabled us to lay between 40 and 100t of tarmac per day – depending upon the limitations of access – which has exceeded the expectations of our clients and enables the towpaths to be re-opened more quickly, we estimate that we have achieved efficiencies of completion time in the region of 55%.
We have planned out and resurfaced road ways within Sewerage Treatment Works and have excavated and replaced existing tarmac and installed reinforced concrete area.
Careful coordination of access was arranged with the site to ensure that the plant could continue to function at all times.
